Also here, is a gateway to Val's Painting-send email. Val Van Rens, born 1919, was an incredibly instructive and inspiring regional artist from Wisconsin. Her message was vibrance, love, joy and beauty. Hundreds of Val painting flowed from her creative wellspring between 1959 and her death in 1992.
Val Vanrens' art is largely unexposed. She created hundreds of paintings. We are gathering them for all to enjoy. Expressive energy and depth of feeling for her surrounding hallmark her artist odyssey. As a Wisconsin regional artist ones sees the landscapes, gardens and table in her flourishes. Her personal belief is that art has a unique role in renewing the human spirit. Val studied with Mayne Simonsen and Lois Buell both from Janesville, WI. She went on to study at the Rhinelander School of Arts with Professor Dahl for several summers. After she studied at the Valley Studio in Spring Green. Other refinements to her work are the result of a 10 year study with Martha and Robert Hayden in Sharon, WI. Major workshop in New Hampshire, Cornwall England and Mexico highlighted her career.
